German Coach as new Super Eagle Technical Adviser

The 63 years old former Gabon, Burkina Faso, Nantes, Nice and Bordeaux coach, Gernot Rohr, will be unveiled on Monday in Abuja by the Nigerian Football Federation as New Technical Adviser.

In a report by Sporting Sun, the German Coach and his two assistants will arrive Nigeria this Saturday after agreeing to the NFF terms which include living in the country and qualifying Nigeria for the next world cup.

However, this would effect following the Coach signing a contract with the NFF on Monday after watching the NPFL game between Ikorodu Utd and 3sc Ibadan on Sunday at the On ikan Stadium Lagos.

Among other factors which they chose him, NFF President Amaju Pinnick said "the fact that he understands the Africa terrain and speak good English- communication won't be a problem..."

It will be noted that the Super Eagles will begin their Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers campaign in October against Zambia.

Nigeria has been paired against Zambia, Algeria and Cameroon and only one country will qualify to the world cup.
